About Pat Kusek:
Serving the Omaha Metro Area for over 25 Years
Pianos have always been a part of my life. Growing up, my family actually had THREE old uprights--one from my Mom's side of the family, one from my Dad's side, and one from the grade school I attended here in Omaha.
We were also a family of "do-it-yourself-ers", so you didn't just call someone to do a task you could try yourself first. This was especially true with the pianos. Thus began my early interest and tinkering around with piano tuning and repair.
I also took piano lessons starting in 4th grade, but it soon became evident, I was more interested in figuring out HOW the piano played rather than WHAT it played.
I attended Creighton University and graduated magna cum laude with a Classical Bachelor of Arts in Latin and Art History. I wasn't sure where to go from there but knew I wanted to stay in the Omaha area. After obtaining a teaching certificate in English and Art from UNO, I taught for just the one year before enrolling in piano tuning school at the Omega Technical Institute in Maywood, NE.
I've been tuning now for 25 years and I love the people and places I am so blessed to get to know through the course of my work. I look forward to meeting you and your piano in the near future!
